Choose your side and dive into the post-apocalyptic world in the gripping multiplayer social deduction game

Wandering Wizard (the indie publishing arm of Snail Inc.) and developer New Gen announced today that the multiplayer social deduction game Zombie Within is available now on Steam.

Zombie Within combines strategy with terror, where players are transported into a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. Zombie Imposters have infiltrated a survivor camp, protected by a team of Defenders, and are intent on annihilating the population.

After 72 hours of creators testing Zombie Within on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok, the public can  join their favorite creators and choose their allegiance, either defending humanity, or strategically embracing the darkness by becoming an Impostor on a mission to wipe out the camp.

KEY FEATURES

  • Asymmetrical Social Deduction: Play as either a Zombie Imposter, blending in to kill as many civilians as possible in the camp, or a Defender, attempting to figure out who amongst the civilians is secretly a zombie.
  • Cause Mayhem as the Zombie Imposter: As a Zombie Imposter, pretend you are one of the many civilians of the camp and break as many generators as possible to spread the infection. Once enough infection has spread, an Imposter can transform into a monstrous zombie form, which allows them to attack civilians directly.
  • Protect the camp as a Defender: Defenders can take on the roles of Hunters or Engineers. Hunters take down zombie imposters easily and can lay down traps to expose them. Meanwhile, Engineers have tools that allow them to quickly find broken generators, and reveal the imposter amongst the civilians.
  • Randomly Generated Maps: Play on either the default map, or test your skills in a randomly generated camp map, with different layouts and generator spawns.

Zombie Within is available now with a 20% launch discount priced at $7.99 USD / £6.80 GBP / €7.80 EUR.
