Made-in-India Battle Royale Indus Reveals New Hero Inspired By Rajasthani Culture
This December we’ve revealed a new hero that will be playable when the game is out (closed beta date to be announced soon). Called Mech Balika, she’s a robot designed to entertain and dance to the will of her creators. Until she chose not to. She broke those chains of control and has taken the fight to Indus.
In line with Indus’ celebration of India Mech Balika’s design was deeply inspired by Rajasthani culture, particularly Kathputli — string puppet theatre native to Rajasthan. Along with this, her unique look pays homage to clothing and colour choices native to the state.
