In case you missed it, Gameforge — leading Western publisher of popular multiplayer online games including AION, NosTale, OGame, and Metin2 — revealed that AION Classic is coming to PC in Europe in early 2023. Today, the publisher answers some of the burning questions fans of the franchise have with a new developer FAQ.

With AION Classic, players will return to the game’s foundations and relive the war between the Elyos and Asmodians, while also dealing with the ever-present threat of the Balaur lurking at the threshold to the Abyss Gate. With the European launch of the MMORPG’s classic server, the goal is to introduce the content of the original AION based on a polished version of 1.9 with consolidated fixes and balancing incorporated into the release candidate. In time, Gameforge expects people across Europe to experience the same original adventures and remember exactly why AION is beloved by millions of players around the world.
AION Classic is a permanent server that offers all MMORPG lovers a fresh start in the world of Atreia, along with additional balancing and quality-of-life improvements. Players new and old will explore the vast and unique realm of Atreia, discover and enjoy iconic dungeons, alongside taking part in the battle between Elyos and Asmodians.
What to expect from AION Classic:
- Enjoy PvE content up to level 50 on various maps and instances like Dark Poeta, the Baranath Dredgion, and more!
- Charge into battle with massive PvP content including Rifts, Dredgions, and Fortress Battles
- Take to the skies and prepare for flying combat in the Abyss
- Choose different professions to craft gear and consumables
Like in other regions, the Siel’s Energy and Daeva Pass features will be available to provide additional rewards. Additionally, exclusive content such as the new dungeons or the recently added new classes will also be introduced in future updates for AION Classic.
AION Classic Livestream: Join the AION team as they invite players who wish to know more about the upcoming launch in Europe. Audiences can tune in on Twitch on February 17 at around 18:00 CET. The hosts will answer questions about the update during the live Q&A.
