To ensure that your buses satisfy the needs of your customers, take good care of them in the repair and washing facilities. Create a service centre to interact with customers and sell tickets directly at your depot. Obtain the best customer testimonials to guide your bus company to success in the future.

Your hometown or any other famous city in the globe (apart from China) is included in the game. All of the individual Points of Interest are based entirely on real OpenStreetMap data. The travel time for the bus route and the passenger simulation are both based on actual data. You can recreate the current lines or create entirely original setups.

Build everything a functional bus station needs. To maintain your fleet of vehicles, you’ll need parking spaces, garages, warehouses, maintenance facilities, and car wash facilities. To take care of your personnel, you also need offices, restrooms, and a kitchen. Don’t forget to use the Service Center to engage with your customers and sell tickets. Select various furniture pieces and environmental accents to customise the depot to your taste.

Buses must be safe and sanitary if you want your business to succeed in the future. Ensure that your buses live up to client expectations. Purchase replacement components to fix your buses.

With more than 20 distinct bus models, City Bus Manager offers the most realistic experience and lets you customise your bus fleet to your preferences. Additionally, all of the buses can be repainted using an external graphic programme or in-game methods, and of course, they can all be shared via the Steam Workshop.

Hire office staff, mechanics, drivers, and many other positions to keep your business going. To expand your business, take care of their needs so they can work effectively and consider your costs. Position yourself for success, make the right decisions and never lose sight of the big picture.

Thoughts

This game is different from what I had anticipated because it focuses more on company management than bus routes. Despite this, I’m still having fun with it; I simply need to adjust my expectations.

The design of the routes stops, and service schedules are referred to as “bus route logistics.” This informs you of the number of drivers and buses you’ll require. There is considerable room for schedule customization, such as alternative weekend schedules, and you may select from a variety of vehicle types that can be painted in any colour using the RGB colour wheel. But it feels like that is all you can really do.

The remaining time is spent developing and building my depot, employing employees, assigning them to shifts, sending them to training sessions, etc., as well as cleaning, refuelling, and fixing the buses. This needs to be done on a daily basis in the original (early access) game version, but some feedback suggests it would be preferable if most of it could be automated, such as by creating a cleaning or maintenance schedule for each vehicle.

Currently, I’m considering playing this as a daily business management game rather than a game about using public transportation. At the conclusion of a game day, I pause the game and make plans for what I need to accomplish with my crew and vehicles before the following day. While I should be considering where to build new routes, I’ve just constructed two routes so far and already have seven drivers whose growth, happiness, salaries, etc. I have to consider, in addition to six buses.

For what they are meant to be, the graphics are good. Although Cities Skylines and Transport Fever 2 are not played on real-world terrain, they do not have the same level of realism. Having said that, it would be wonderful to be able to see the depot from the ground up, particularly given how important it is to the game to manage the depot.

As other reviewers have noted, there are a lot of small problems that need to be fixed, possibly more than is typical for an early-access title from a major developer. However, despite being a small, independent team of three brothers, they did a fantastic job of putting this game together. The game has the potential to be outstanding and is already quite good.
