On Rainbow Island, construct a conservatory.

Gain money from slime plorts and gather materials on Rainbow Island to enlarge your conservatory, upgrade your vacuum pack, and develop new technology.

The Slime Rancher recipe is so ideal that very nothing needed to be changed. Remember that even though it takes place on a separate island, this is still situated in the same world as the first novel.

While being identical to the first game, it significantly expands on the fundamental idea. The environments seem (in my opinion) hundreds of times better than those in the first game because of Monomi Park’s great work on the graphics. Speaking of surroundings, they simply have a far better structure, eliminating the original’s closed doors and replacing them with gordos that block the entrances.

Then there is the issue of the gameplay components that were used from the original but improved. Treasure pods can now all be unlocked at the beginning rather than requiring these ludicrous enhancements to be obtained at higher stages. This is especially satisfying if you’ve played before because you might recall the confusion and need to look up instructions on how to obtain higher-tier treasure crackers. In this game, I’d also lean more toward the communication station than the trading station did in the first. Trades were great, but they weren’t very helpful, especially once you learned about largos and the benefits of farming their plorts. Here, trading has been eliminated, and instead, your friends now provide you with lore, in-depth messages, and new blueprints and gifts.

I won’t reveal much more about the new slimes because I know some readers don’t know much about them, but I will add that they have incredible designs. They jiggle more and have more complicated shapes than the majority of the original slimes, and I like the new dynamics of several of them.

Overall, I think this game surpasses the original in quality. That is significant considering how brilliant the original was and remains. It’s remarkable how similar this is to the Slime Rancher that we never received. This game is fantastic and worth the money, even if you don’t compare it to the original because it technically could have existed without it. This is true even if it is still in early access.:)
