PREVIEW : Zen World (PC)
Zen World is your soothing garden the size of a continent, and it’s up to you to keep it growing and flourishing!
You start with a tiny patch of land lost amid the clouds in this world-building relaxing strategy, and your task is to create a beautiful and safe environment for the citizens of your kingdom.
- Build a world tile by tile by matching border types
- Create paths to valuable loot for your scouts
- Open boxes to get more tiles and powerups
- Progress through the technology tree to unlock new powers and improve all aspects of your kingdom
- Find your way through the clouds!
- Establish military camps to protect your people
Zen World is a soothing game that you can play as much as you want. You can arrange tiles randomly based on what you believe is correct and attractive, or you can plan ahead and carefully develop your territory to maximize your score and compete with your friends.
Zen World is a relaxing puzzle game similar to Dorfromantik or Mini Metro / Motorways.
It’s essentially a game where you use tiles to expand the map, collect boxes with improvements and resources to expand even farther, and then obtain a high score.
It appears to be a stripped-down version of Civilization (albeit I haven’t played much Civilization). This isn’t a 4X game; instead, it’s a puzzle game.)
According to the creator, full controller support, new tile kinds, a mid-game save/load mechanism, multiplayer (coop and versus), custom game mode with modifiers, better visuals and effects, and more will be added in the future.
Overall, I believe there is already enough game and fun for the price, and it will only improve with time and updates. Therefore I give it a strong recommendation.
