New São Paulo office adds over one hundred tech jobs in Brazilian market, giving local developers new options for growth and product globalization

PTW today announced plans to expand operations into South America with the creation of PTW Brazil Ltda, located in São Paulo. Officially opening in Q1 2024, the ambitious new office will employ over 100 local workers specializing in Quality Assurance, Player Support, Art, and Localized QA work for the South American gaming industry. In-country operations will be lead by Joao Albani, reporting into Sijo Jose, Chief Operations Officer at PTW.

“Brazil is a massive opportunity for us – South America is going to be a hotspot for companies like PTW that can bring in best-in-class services to help globalize the local dev scene,” said Deborah Kirkham, Chief Executive Officer of PTW. ““…and my team knows what it takes to win market share. It’s going to take world class talent delivering unrivalled services; that’s exactly what we’re going to deliver to our customers and why I’m so confident in our growth strategy.”

With an estimated $5B in industry revenue this year alone, South America is one of the fastest growing markets for game developers of all sizes. The São Paulo expansion brings the number of studios at PTW to 44, spanning 16 countries across the globe. With over a decade of in-market management experience, Albani brings a deep understanding of the Brazilian gaming industry and South American development scene to PTW.

“PTW has a proven global track record of helping clients address the complicated process of taking a great local product and turning it into something globally relevant,” said Joao Albani, Site Head for PTW São Paulo. “I’m excited for the opportunity to expand our footprint in Brazil and grow our business throughout the region.”
