The Wizard101 community gets an exciting early look at Wallaru on test servers before the new world officially goes live.
KingsIsle Entertainment and gamigo are opening access on special test servers to Wallaru, the fourth and final world of Wizard101’s fourth story arc. From Eucalyptus Forest to the Wobbegong Territory, the mysterious world is home to koalas, kangaroos, wallabys, and wombats. Inspired by Australia at the turn of the 20th century, Wallaru is the land of the Outback, where inspiration awaits those who can reach and become one with The Dreaming.
Players begin their tour of Wallaru in Hope Springs and then move into the Outback, seeking the fabled Dreaming while engaging in adventurous quests all along the way. Can players ease tensions between the local factions and open the way to The Dreaming? Will the answers they find there bring peace to the living world of Novus before the Spiral goes to war? Or will a lurking evil turn the dream into a nightmare?
“After a surreal odyssey into the mind of Dasein in Novus, with Wallaru we’re telling a more traditional story: a classic vision quest.” said Sam Johnson, Narrative Lead at KingsIsle Entertainment. “Wallaru is a quest to help Dasein find peace, but there’s so much more to it: it’s also a journey across some amazing wilderness, full of characters and challenges as rich as you’d expect from the tapestry of Australian history and mythology. Wallaru comes complete with a new storyline featuring old friends and monstrous new foes, new areas to explore, and powerful new items, gear, and spells to achieve, spells like Count Croakula; which calls a Frog Vampire down from the sky to swallow opponents whole. The new world is also part of Wizard101’s latest complete update, which introduces the Guild Museum where you can immortalize your guild’s adventures. Players will also be able to level their characters to 170 from the current level 160.
