REVIEW : Horatio Goes Snowboarding (PS5)

Respectively, Horatio Goes Snowboarding is developed and published by Infinite State Games and East Asia Soft. Horatio Goes Snowboarding is an arcade-style game involving two elements. First, you will snowboard your way, which is pretty apparent, and you will have to choose your path, avoiding the traffic and whichever you find is the best. Second, snowboarding and Frogger can seem like a weird combination, but if you have played Horatio goes skiing, you know what is coming your way.

REVIEW : Horatio Goes Snowboarding (PS5)

Horatio goes snowboarding is a minimalistic and sober game with two gameplay modes. The game begins with you crossing a road to get to the helicopter, and the cars would barge in from nowhere, making it difficult for you to get to the helicopter. So you will carefully have to make your way to the other side. This part of the game is like an arcade game but what comes next is intriguing. As soon as you get to the helicopter, it will take you to an icy mountain. This is where the adventure begins. You will start with your snowboarding journey here.

REVIEW : Horatio Goes Snowboarding (PS5)

The game offers a stunning arcade game feel. The controls are not difficult to play with. You will control all the actions with the left stick to steer. That is the essential thing you will do most. But there is a good learning curve, and you will learn a lot of new tricks as you succeed. The incoming difficulties will hone your skills and would make the overall game a little bit more complex than the expectations. So, you can always go for the straight and simple paths, but that will leave you with no points at all. What you are supposed to do initially is get through pairs of poles to keep your combination going, which is a subtle way to increase the chances of smashing into a tree.

REVIEW : Horatio Goes Snowboarding (PS5)

The game is gratifying when you take complex paths with obstacles. You will primarily avoid risks, but the game levels up once you start taking risks. However, you will have to visit the main menu frequently to check the scores. It is more or less an old school expedition involving very few additions. In a few moments, you will be able to explore everything the game has to offer. Even the traffic section of the gameplay is not as indulging as it should have been. The snowboarding mode is still a lot better and keeps you at it. Horatio goes skateboarding is a retro-looking game with nothing very different. The visuals are bright and appropriate. The game area is cheerful and vibrant. The characters are cartoonish and basic. There is an excellent use of drums and bass in the background. There is a nice blend of humour with dialogues like Horatio’s funny one-liners whenever he hits one of the slopes. Horatio is a cute tiny blue looking person with a moustache, and it’s exciting watching him waddle around and wipe out. It is a single-player game. The trophy system is incredibly unique. It will push you to try harder. The game offers a good level of difficulty, but there are not enough varieties of these challenges.
