SEVEN ARK DETAILS YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED
Yesterday we put out a HUGE ARK 2 announcement that showcased a new trailer during a very busy day of gaming news, on a Sunday no less. Yikes! So what major ARK details might you have missed? Here’s the Cliff Notes below:
1) ARK: Survival Evolved is now 100% discounted, free-to-own permanently on Steam! Gamers need to claim the game by 10:00AM PDT on June 19.
2) The new ARK official community map, Nordic-style Fjordur cold-weather region, is available to download free on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Stadia. Check out the Fjordur map trailer HERE: youtube.com/watch?v=snHef1gnvlU
3) ARK: The Animated Series currently has fourteen 30-minute episodes in post-production, with Monica Belucci (The Matrix Reloaded) and Dee Bradley Baker (Star Wars: The Bad Batch) joining the illustrious cast that includes Gerard Butler, Michelle Yeoh, Vin Diesel and many more. We released the character artwork!
4) ARK Nintendo Switch Ultimate Survivor Edition will feature new voice audio from David Tennant and Madeleine Madden. Madden will also serve as the robotic guide, HLN-A, in the ‘Young Explorers Mode’ exclusive to the Switch version of ARK. More of the Switch version of ARK will be shown in today’s /twitchgaming livestream at 4:30pm EDT.
5) ARK 2 will be played in third-person perspective and will have heavy skill-based, Souls-like action, an innovative direction rarely experienced in a PVP based survival game.
6) ARK 2 will add fully stackable, user-created mods for the Xbox version of the game enabled through mod.io! Players who create mods using the PC version can upload creations to the cloud to be made available for all console players to enjoy!
