New product line going into pre-order next week
Today we are excited to announce the official launch of the video game Collector’s Edition mail order site under the wings of the Gamefairy.
The Gamefairy strives to bring outstanding games by independent teams to a physical existence as high quality limited editions, going an extra mile to differentiate the boxed editions from their pure digital form.
Gamefairy was founded by members of the development and publishing studio Headup. In the ten years prior to launching Gamefairy, the team was involved in bringing many outstanding Collector’s Editions of top games to the retail market, such as Limbo, Terraria, Super Meat Boy, The Basement Collection, Gone Home, Monaco, The Binding of Isaac (and Afterbirth+) and many more.
Cutting out the middlemen and being much closer to the players means that more meaningful editions for everyone can be created. Involving retailers often leads to overstock expected to be returned – something which neither feels good nor does it make the biggest commercial sense for neither the developers nor the publisher and especially not for all the collectors out there.
Over the last year the team has quietly set up the manufacturing and logistics structure necessary and has prepared great upcoming projects for the players, commencing with a highly Limited Edition of the highly praised Bridge Constructor Portal.
