Vampire Survivors: local co-op mode and Nintendo Switch version out now!

The indie mega hit Vampire Survivors is getting a local co-op update for up to 4 players on all platforms that the game is available on today!

On top of that, the vampire-less vampire game is launching on Nintendo Switch™️ complete with the couch co-op update today!

About the local co-op update:

The local co-op mode is launching via a free update today (17th August) and lets you play the whole Vampire Survivors saga with up to 4 players in local couch co-op on PC, Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and mobile (one controller per player required).

Be the bullet hell with your besties!

In co-op mode, you can either continue your current game or start a new adventure with friends to face the hordes of the undead. Players can seamlessly switch between single and co-op play between stages and unleash chaos. Like every good co-op game, Vampire Survivors will also offer opportunities to test your friendship and stretch the definition of the word “co-op”. The new mode also features the co-op specific item “The Friendship Amulet” as well as various co-op settings to customise the co-op experience.

You can find more info about the couch co-op mode in the FAQ here.

About the Nintendo Switch version:

The Nintendo Switch version of Vampire Survivors is launching today (17th August) for the exorbitant price of $4,99/€4,99/£3,99 (with a 10% launch discount until 29th August) with all the latest update, including the 4 player couch co-op update, of the indie mega hit. The DLCs Legacy of the Moonspell and Tides of the Foscari are also available for Nintendo Switch starting today for $1,99/€1,99/£1,59 each. Experience reaching the end of the night with your favourite Joy-Con!

Steam version fully switching to new engine

The Steam version of Vampire Survivors has been running in parallel on its original engine Phaser and its new engine (that the team needed for porting and better stability) for a while on Steam. Now that the new engine is thoroughly tested and runs better than the old one, the Steam version of the game will fully switch to the new engine starting today (17th August).

On this note, the team would like to say a big thanks to Phaser! “I had a lot of fun building Vampire Survivors in it and can highly recommend it if you are interested in making wild games pretty fast!”, says poncle founder Luca Galante.
